BEGIN THE "FINDING HAPPINESS" JOURNEY!

Are you ready to begin a wonderful journey? It’s a journey of self-discovery, from the inside-out, one that enables you to reflect on where you are and to imagine new possibilities for yourself. As you proceed through the voyage you will be headed in the right direction in becoming a better person and to cope in a fast-paced American society laden with seemingly overwhelming problems and stress.
The "Finding Happiness" process you are about to go through introduces many useful tactics and broad strategies that make it easier to find happiness in America, even in times of despondency, which we all have now and then. But, I can’t take total credit for them, because I’m merely reiterating the lessons learned from the many children, teens, college students, parents, friends, and educators I’ve counseled and supported over the past 34 years. This particular journey to find happiness avoids using a cookbook approach to reinvigorating your life, for you embark on a personal quest that you map out for yourself, based on what's truly important to you
You will walk through a learning landscape concerning the issues many Americans face. Whether your story involves family, parenting, educational, life in general, social or personal dilemmas, you will experience similar chronicles of others and the healing and self-improvement they acquired in times of strife. Helen Keller once said, "Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it." She is so right!
As you go through your personal "Finding Happiness" process, listen closely to the chronicles of others, then respond well in the activities and exercises that follow. Listening and replying well is the highest perfection of achievement in the art of self-improvement and in mending things in your life that need mending.
Over the past 34 years, I’ve listened to others... attentively
...reflectively. I took note of the surface content of what they said, but also "listened" to the feelings behind their words, to the deeper substance of what they had to say. Every person I’ve listened to knew more about something than I did and these collective insights and lessons of life are conveyed to you. Yes, indeed, it was Socrates who learned centuries ago, before the birth of Christ, that Nature has given us two ears, two eyes, but only one tongue, and to that end we should hear and see more than we speak.
By actively engaging in the "Finding Happiness" process, you will unearth inner strengths which you never imagined existed, so begin the journey and gain insight into ways to improve your life…and the lives of those around you.
